Dear Grand Cayman Travelers,

A few notes regarding questions I have been asked.

Airport check-in for international flights is usually 2-3 hours. Check with the airline you are flying to be sure what they require. Once on the island you can take the 15-20 taxi ride to the hotel. The cost is approx $24.00 for 1 to 3 people and the drivers will take US Dollars and give you change in CI.

Friday am Stingray City Trip with Red Sail - if you are on this excursion please go to the Red Sail office on the Westin hotel beach to sign your liability waivers on Thursday. This will speed up our check-in process on Friday morning. The island has been having some thunderstorms on and off. The boat captains will do everything possible to get us out to Stingray City, but if they determine it is not safe due to weather then our back-up plan is to go Friday afternoon. Text me if you have any questions or check with Red Sail office at the Westin. Vans will pick us up at 8:30am in the porte cochere next to Ferdinand's at the Westin. This is not the main lobby drop off area; it is further down the hallway past the deli and through double glass doors. The boat has masks to wear or you can bring your own goggles. Bring sunscreen and a towel and snack if you would like. The boat captain provides water and fruit punch. We will return about 12:00pm. Underwater cameras are also fun to use if you have one.

Saturday race-day - the race is at 2:30pm in the afternoon so we suggest a warm-up swim in the morning, eat early lunch so your food has time to digest before walking down to the race check-in about 1:00pm. Bring water, it's hot waiting around for the pre-race meeting and the race to start. You can bring a back pack or bag to check it in and it will be shuttled to the finish line. Your belongings will be safe but do not bring valuables to the race other than money to buy lunch as there is a restaurant at the end of the race. There are also showers and restrooms to shower off and change clothes. Coach Bobby will explain other any race info you need to know and answer questions at the Friday night Beach BBQ.

Sunday Snorkel Trip - the boat captain will provide snorkel, mask, fins, water and fruit punch. We will not have lunch on the boat so eat at big breakfast and/or bring a snack. Bring a towel and sunscreen. Vans will be picking us up at 10:30am in the lobby area. We will return about 2:00pm.

Monday evening Bio Bay Boat & Swim - pick-up at 6:00pm in the Westin lobby, boat captain will provide water, snorkel and masks, no fins please. Eat an early dinner as we will be back around 9:00-9:30pm. "Adult" beverages are okay to bring for the return trip. There is a cooler on the boat. Bring a towel and wear your swim suit.
